Emtele Automation was founded in 2024, following the acquisition of Emtele Oy’s business operations. Our story, however, began back in 2005, when our customers invited us to help develop new strategies for remote management of machines and industrial assets.
‍
From that need, we created a solution capable of delivering large-scale, turnkey OT connectivity and control systems — and that same end-to-end model still defines our business today.

With Emtele, customers can rely on a single partner for a comprehensive, long-term service model: a turnkey setup backed by a 15-year — or even full lifecycle — service agreement. We take full responsibility for delivery, maintenance and troubleshooting throughout the entire lifecycle.

Automating remote operations

Our mission has always been to automate the maintenance and operational processes behind remote asset management. Previously, no single provider could deliver all these capabilities under one umbrella.

Over the years, our closed-cloud communication technologies, OT connectivity solutions and end-to-end system orchestration have grown significantly in scale and complexity — and strong cybersecurity has become the essential layer that ties the entire model together.

Emtele today

Today, we are Finland’s market leader in OT connectivity and network automation solutions for DSOs and renewable energy producers.

We compete head-to-head with major equipment vendors — and win — by offering something different: we come from a service-operator background.

It’s reflected in our name, and even more in our mindset.

Emtele Automation was founded by Emtele’s key personnel together with Finnish private investors to continue, develop and expand the business originally built within Emtele — and to strengthen the long-term partnerships we have with our customers.

…and tomorrow

These capabilities form the foundation for our next-generation service concept — and our future focus goes even further. Customers increasingly expect stronger cybersecurity, continuous visibility and proactive protection for their critical OT environments. In response, we are expanding our offering with dedicated OT cybersecurity services and a fully managed OT SOC built specifically for industrial networks and energy infrastructure.

At the same time, we are leading the development of AI-driven automation for OT network management. Through our OT Agent initiative, we are building an intelligent system capable of analysing network conditions, identifying anomalies and orchestrating corrective actions automatically. Our goal is clear: to provide uninterrupted, secure operations supported by active cyber defence and intelligent automation across the entire OT infrastructure.
